She was, back in the day. Selfish, kinda haughty and oft-times jealous. But she got better eventually, as she matured.
In my case I do it as a joke. Quite a lot of others do it because they don’t care for the shipping. I quite approve of it, but I still refer to these hybrid characters as “adorable halfbreed abominations” from time to time.
Why now everyone is calling them abominations?
Too early to tell, to be perfectly honest, but Kilala’s crew of abominations haven’t come across as very Mary Sueish before, I don’t foresee them starting now.
And she is not a mary sue, right?

When they have enough appearances to be justified. Being that Claire has over thirty tags, I think Kilala’s Next Gen characters are good.
