General bio
 
Illusion is a very interesting character and he’s kinda hard to explain. He’s kind of a wild card and has several personalities. These personalities depend on who he’s with. However, he is generally cool, cunning and witty He has a love for mischief but knows when he’s going too far. When with Clarity, he is pretty much his true self. Fun-loving and everything mentioned before. He does however try to act a little more cool around her. He generally adapts to who he is with. For example, when he is with Anthea, his kind, caring side shows through. When with Starburst he is usually more serious since when they are together, they are usually dealing with something royalty related. However when they are simply hanging out, he starts to get silly and annoying just to get a reaction from her. So basically, most of the time, he sorta has the opposite personality of who he hangs out with at the time to level things out. He gets along with most of the other characters but he and Prism Bolt seem to butt heads a lot. Illusion doesn’t really like Prism’s cocky attitude even though Prism is usually joking around. As a result, Illusion tends to be more arrogant around him.
 
Relationships:
 
Celestia and Illusion have a great mother-son bond. She teaches spells to him, he’s there to help her feel better when she’s down and vice-versa. Discord also teaches Illusion “spells” or chaos magic. The way he teaches is A LOT more hands on than Celestia. They often go out and use it to mess around with other ponies and creatures. Celestia usually gets pissed off at them for harassing her subjects. Even more so when they use their magic to harass her. Illusion usually apologizes right after.
 
Illusion, as you all are probably aware of, is very, VERY close to Claire. They’d know each other since they were really young and when Claire was still living in Canterlot. He was her only friend and one of the only ones who accepted her. They have a rather playful, flirtatious relationship. He’s always visiting her in Ponyville at her shop.
 
Illusion generally does hang out with the main 6 kids but usually only if they’re with Claire. He and T have an interesting relationship though. They have a brotherly friendship but when Illusion comes by to take Claire out, T gives him strange looks…. Illusion and Candy get along great due to their love for fun. He and Starburst are good friends but he likes to annoy her. He and Golden Delicious have a solid, manly relationship XD And he and Prism don’t get along too well but they tolerate each other.
 
Nidra and Illusion are pretty close and are almost more like siblings. They cause mischief together, have fun and occasionally get on each other’s nerves.
 
Talent/Cutiemark/Abilities:
 
Illusion has great magical abilities. He is able to change the appearance of himself and other objects. He usually disguises himself as a black earth pony that goes by the name Coal. He mostly used this disguise when he was young and in school so he could tell who his real friends are. As a teenager/adult he would use the disguise whenever he was outside of Canterlot as to not bring too much unwanted attention to himself or to cause too much excitement. Also, being part alicorn, he can learn other spells other than what his special talent allows him to do.
