I wonder what the odds are this is only related to the toy line and not the show?  
I believe some one else had already pointed out in another image post relating to the rainbow thread key thing, that the swirly rainbow eye effect only has the colors of the mane six and not a perfect rainbow?  
But then again this rainbow power thing doesn’t seem to be a perfect rainbow either…  
But who knows? Are we even half way through the season yet?

True. Celestia wants pure, unflinching harmony and Twilight to be the absolute center of it. But pure, unflinching harmony hardly ever well written, so perhaps they NEED a little chaos. Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie are definitely entrenched in the chaos tree of alignment, but they’re the most huge hearted characters in the show. RD may not be morally perfect, but I feel that makes her more practical and more heroic then Celestia and Twilight would acknowledge when compared to pure harmony.
