They make everyone think pony world=our world, when it’s really just pony world≈our world.
Ponies aren’t humans. They’re ponies with human-like intelligence.
Well, yeah, nobody’s denying that, but the show has gone out of its way to explicitly reference the real world on multiple occasions.

Parallelogram it all you want, it’s not New York. It’s a magical world of imagination and talking horses with a day/night cycle controlled by two sisters.
Actually, I think the Pony Statue of Liberty does just that.
The name of the city is “Manehatten.” You couln’t possibly make the parallel to real-life New York any more explicit.
Except it’s not New York. It’s Equestria.
It’s New York. Nobody’s going to let you cut in line no matter who you are.

Twilight’s been a bit of a plot device of late- instead of being the type to hit the books or look for odd knowledge as an answer, she’s just kinda dispensed some sorta cryptic wise-sounding advice (that isn’t even necessarily correct) out of her sleeve the last couple of episodes.
That said, the last one was a good return to form for her- maybe she just needed a little discord to shake her out of that rut.
Luna barely does anything at all, and Celestia is really just a plot device whenever she’s needed for one.
Not really.
That said, why would Tia or Luna be surprised or angry about Twilight being Ponyville’s favorite princess? She’s the only princess that ever lived in Ponyville. I mean, really.
