Well, the movie and actual release prove that yes this is hers.  
You know, it kinda reminds me of Transformers Animated’s incarnation of Jazz. I would hope that was an influence.

DJ PON-3/Vinyl Scratch sure is popular for a character who appears only once a season. (Even I admit, I like DJ to.)

As far as toy cars go… this is still really neat. Think about it. Its not pink. That alone makes it pretty unique for a girl’s toy. Okay, the dashboard is kinda pink, but pink is made very minimum so that still counts as a big step.
 
Its colors consist of white and cyan with black tires. A very nice color scheme that goes along with our favorite DJ. Transparent purple for the sunglasses and hubcaps which fits in with her need to wear such cool shades. The musical notes on the sides are also a nice touch. And though the way the sunglasses are placed on the car is a bit dorky, it is still a neat little add-on that has a use outside just being part of the toy.
 
So yeah. This is still a very nice looking toy! Totally jel-jel of today’s kids. The Barbie cars I played with my kid cousins were never this cool.

When I first heard the description of the toy, I was expecting the glasses to actually be integrated somehow. This looks more like someone at the board of designers absentmindedly set their glasses on top of the prototype and no one realized that it wasn’t a feature.

From an earlier report, that is a pair of “sunglasses” that the kid can play with too.

…Somebody. Anybody. Make a comic or animation about this. We need Vinyl driving this ridiculous thing and somebody commenting on its ludicrousity.
