Huffing paint isn’t good for you.
The art is properly sourced, sir.
Mostly people who randomly capitalize words for no apparent reason.
The ones who come back and try to complain long after the fact?
Could be worse, though. At least Helen Thomas and Ralph Nader “look” white.
If there’s one thing in the world that baffles me, it’s morbidly convoluted headcanons like these and people who actually think they make a modicum of sense.
Huh, that’s kinda clever actually.
I don’t think her and her parents’ accents necessarily mean that they’re “white”, just very assimilated.
I personally see her family as Lebanese Christians, since many of them settled in the Midwest and assimilated very quickly. It also means that Rarity is descended from Phoenician nobility, which fits considering that Phoenicians were famous for their fabrics. Even her mane resembles Tyrian purple.
Well, a person’s race shouldn’t determine their personality, and such. (There’s upper-class black ladies into fashion to) Though, as you point out, I suppose her family, and such does kinda seem to imply Rarity is very very “white.”
Still, nothing wrong with drawing her (and the others) as other races if the artist wishes.
Though, if they’re just doing it to “rebel,” or to be “politically-correct,” then they’re doing it for the wrong reasons…
It’s kinda a lose-lose situation really. If you try to diversify them, some think that such ethnicities don’t suit the characters, or if you make them all white, or something, then you’re “racist.” If I were to draw them human, I’d probably just leave it uncolored, or give them their EG/pony colors.
Surprised making Twilight black is very popular, considering what a horrible dancer she is. :P (Everybody knows white people can’t dance. J/K)
They might just be trying to make her “Arabic.” Though, she looks more white here. (Though, some Arabic people are lighter-skinned.)
Yes. Yes, it is.
Wait, now that a look at it…
Is that a watermark on top of a watermark?
