Couldn’t care less what anyone on tumblr has to say about it, but I’d say Rarity isn’t likely to want to limit herself by any overbearing constraint on fashion if she can help it.
Now a pop quiz for you:

I’ll give you something, though. I don’t really like that design either, too anime-generic. But it’s still can pass for a Rarity humanization more than this one.

I wasn’t with SA from the start, but now i’m not even going to look at it.
Worst than the hairdo is the demeanor. We’ve got Rarity looking like some Broken Bird emotionless girl. If you have even seen one episode of the show, you know that Rarity is the opposite of emotionless. She’s a gloriously hammy individual. It fails to capture her character and spirit in the worst way possible.
I don’t like those designs at all either. Heck first thing about a Rarity humanization is to have her trademark hairstyle in there. Unless it’s wet or bed mane.
And you’re entitled to that opinion. I was just saying that the criticism of a humanization not looking like Rarity is not exclusive to this picture.
Actually no, I’ve never been completely satisfied with their designs. But at least that one is kind of cute. The picture above? Not cute.

Maybe because there is like little to no resemblance to Rarity in this? The only thing I can get is the very small nose piercing with the diamond.
