Considering the mess I got out of some synthetic fibre from one of my socks when the part being used to join the top to further down started coming apart, and the likelihood of the toy manufacturers using cheap synthetic fibre for the brushable ponies’ manes, this doesn’t surprise me in the slightest.

Friggin’ “brushable” hair taught me betrayal and lies as a child. Why did it all have to be so awful? You can’t style it at all without a vat of industrial hair sculpting chemicals, and you can’t even brush it without it turning into a dish scrubbing puff.

Except the tinsel, tinsel of any kind in pony hair is a nightmare and only looks good if you never take the pony out of the package, ever, even slightly bumping the tinsel hair makes it all messy forever.

Luckily most pony hair is high enough quality that it’s not hard to fix it with lots of brushing or conditioner.
