He lives in the US, so this is really still chump change anyway. Unless they raise a suit against the school or the parents of the other bullies this won’t go very far with covering medical. It’d be more accurate to throw another 0 on there.

I’m sorry for calling you scum– I’m just so sick of people turning anything and everything positive into drama and shit. It’s been extremely difficult lately keeping up with the amount of garbage, trolling, and hate. If you had to see half the stuff I have to delete, you’d understand.
Sincerely I am sorry if you had good intentions, but some of your wording seemed somewhat spiteful to me.
@TheLoneLampman
I was suggesting that the fandom expand their view and help other families, too. This one person isn’t the only one affected by these sort of actions. There are plenty of other families out there that could use the extra support we’re throwing at this one person. Families with much worse situations, no less. If I’m scum for wanting to help more than one person, then fine. I guess I’m scum.

They could have told us to stop all donations towards him once it met the goal, you know, but would you rather have 20,000 people care about you and want to help you or 50,000 people?
But I do agree that we should help others, and we have in the past. Relief efforts to the Phillipines, cancer victims, and other causes. The fandom has made a bunch of charity drives for multiple causes, but this is one of the bigger ones lately. So we have put our focus onto this one, because it’s right in front of us.
We shouldn’t stop caring just because the goal was met, though. That’s like saying “Oh, everything is fine, let’s not maintain our stable condition.”

“Not to mention it would give the fandom a much better name to help many rather than just one.”
And now you’re telling us we’ve evolve into the next stage of fandom that most others could not: a multi-charity philanthropy.
@EHAN
Then why not help more than one victim?
This kid got $30,000 extra. More than double of what the family asked for. Other victims could use that extra support, too. Not to mention it would give the fandom a much better name to help many rather than just one.
Or are we just ignoring everyone else because Equestria Daily didn’t say so?
@EHAN
Me thinks the best the victim can do with all this funding is through some extensive donating. A total of 50k (exaggerated, or not) is speaking real hard!

You should tell your opinion to Michael himself!
You gonna buy them a house too, fandom?
This is getting stupid… Sure, it was a sad story and it’s nice to see people helping. But with as much obvious resources this fandom has, it seems like an idiotic waste to be throwing all of this time and money towards one family. Bullying is a pretty common thing and much worse things has happened from it than this. The fandom should be working towards something greater like an act towards stopping bullying as a whole. Not throwing everything at one family because some poor excuse of a news site said so.
The needs of many should outweigh the needs of one.

Take a positive thing and turn it to shit.
Way to go. You sort of people are scum.

We can’t stop bullying, there’s way too much of it going on. Even if we make laws against it, it will still happen illegally.
Since we can’t get rid of all of the bullies, the best we can do is help the victims.
