Rarity seems like the kind of mare who’d get a lot of dates, but few lasting relationships. She’s honestly looking for a knight in shining armor type guy, which’d be pretty rare to find for someone with as high standards as her. By the time she grows out of those fantasies, Spike will probably be of age and legally tap-able, if not someone who actually fits her fantasies. A lot of the Sparity fics-the good ones- address that in some way.

I asked him for reasons why he thought it was a bad ship,and I cutoff the ones that had to do with a fans personal grievance since I had thought him another rarijack shipper or something .Instead he gave me a logical reason based the show and his interpreting of their actions and I stated the futilely of disliking a ship for what they did in the show since many ships are born out of fannon belief in it regardless of any actual workings between the character and no doubt many other would interpret their action differently and suggest greater working behind the feeling and saying of each character which all goes into the complexity of shipping insanity to the point that ever applejacks action of hiding could not impede the ship and could not be counted as a reason against the ship despite its logic as such we both agreed shipping was insane and stupid.

Zero reason to hate him, but plenty to go “meh.” Some people don’t want to ship him with AJ or Rarity. I still like him, though. Rooting for the underdog and everything.

i want to ask you something, is really any reason to hate the new guy? he wasn’t an asshole or a forced blank cliche, for me he is ok.

Anton, come on, dude; you just asked him for reasons he doesn’t like it and now you’re falling back on the argument that it’s just a random shipping picture that doesn’t need reasons when he gives you one? That’s a total face-heel turn, dude.

And it totally isn’t because I don’t really like lesbian ships between the mane six and because AJ seems to be the only one of the girls who doesn’t have a guy to go with.

Trender means well and is reasonable enough to stop going overboard. He deserves a shot, at least.
 
Only pirates can force you on or off a ship, but getting off this one is as simple as hovering your mouth over the “Trenderjack” tag and clicking “hide.”

at least mane 6 ships make some sense because they are already close friends…this is just…

The problem with this ship is that AJ was not just not interested, the way Rarity is not interested in Spike, she was actively avoiding him (to the point of hiding in a chickencoop just to get rid of him) so shipping them just sends wrong vibes, kind of like “Doesn’t matter that a girl is uncomfortable with your advances, she’ll come around and fall for you anyway”.

I’m still shipping this. He’s a well meaning guy, and as most awkward people do, overcompensated when it comes to courting behaviors. The thing that stops him from going into creepy-stalker territory was that when confronted, he did realize he was going overboard and toned it down. Chances are, he still has that crush, just that he would approach it more slow this time, and since he never said he stopped, he might have actually moved to Ponyville (Vinyl Scratch apparently did). Since AJ didn’t seem interested in returning the sentiment, we hardly have to worry about any in-show after effects, but that’s what fanfiction is for.

I don’t he is going to stick to those plans after being rejected. It’s pretty clear that he is back to his senses and will be continuing his career after the event.
