Yeah, I agree. Music & software aren’t quite the same thing, and need their own unique laws that suit them.

Unrelated note. Anyone else find it ducking idiotic that Software copyright laws run on the same rules as music copyright laws? Didn’t anyone go and say’ “Uh maybe we shouldn’t have two totally different things function by the same code”?

MLP’s original creator is still alive, and Ponies the Anthology is back up safe, and sound. Chill, this was an old dead thread.
 
Also, if it wasn’t for that “evil” company, we wouldn’t have MLP:FiM in the first place. They approached Lauren Faust to make the show.

Copyright laws, made to protect jackass companies that can whore out the product and cares jack shit for the actual creator who is long dead by now. Totally not flawed.

I know I’m late to the party, but: holy shit, that’s a lot of copyright claims.

It used to be taken down, but now they put it back up, though, with alot of legal information/credits now it looks like.

Y’know, funny you should say that, because on DA there’s a guy who is angry that the official Megaman comics (by Archie Comics, same company that makes the Sonic comics) are doing some original story-arcs in between the game-adaptions, claiming they should only do game-adaption stories. (Which wouldn’t be much more then Megaman fighting robot masters if that were the case.)  
He even drew several pics bashing the comics, (like Megaman himself throwing them in the trash using him as his “mouth piece”) and even made a petition to get Ian Flynn fired off of writing the official Megaman comics…  
…Which only has one signiture so far. (Epic fail much?)
 
He’s so obsessed with retro-gaming that he claims Sonic’s green eyes make him look “freaky and souless,” and even edited the “Sonic Genesis” comic cover from green eyes to black irises. (I have green eyes IRL, I must look freaky to. Guess I should go buy contact lenses, so I don’t scare people.) :P
 
I normally hate talking poorly others, (sorry if I’m starting drama) but some people online just baffle me.

@Beau Skunky I would wager it was the recent games being so srsbsns and then they feel like ‘standard cartoons/game storylines’ are beneath them. Reminds me of the Grimdork age in comics during the mid-90s.

I like Megaman, but alot of Megaman fans I see tend to like to bash alot of things for no real reason… (Not trying to generalize. “Alot” doesn’t mean “all”)
