okay, but you still need to flip(by which i mean put the left eye on the right and vice versa), i tried with the butt-punching pic and it didnt look right be default, only after doing this flip manually in an image editing program was i able to properly view it in 3D.

Actually i don’t think there is need to flip.

Anyways you porbably know rift ready programs do this barrel efect because rift’s lenses are curved.

also gmod’s source engine broke the vr parameter, so i’m using an external program called vire.io

you mean the fisheye? i don’t think it would make a significant difference, that other pic you posted of yourself.. punching twilights butt.. was more visibly 3D, the fisheye doesn’t make a huge difference for the 3D effect, but i think it might be better without due to the distance from the eye in this state, since most stereoscopic images are not warped like this. The 3D effect seems most visible only on close up objects, perhaps increase the distance between the eyes? i also assume Gmod adjusts the angle based on the distance of the object being looked at, try putting the crosshair on a close up or far away object, see if anything changes.
Also, for the sake of uploading these images, you should probably flip the left and right images so people can cross their eyes to see and not have to take it to an image editing program.

Yeah, you can’t cross your eyes to see this, the oculus rift puts the images the wrong way round, not that it matters, the difference in angles on this is too miniscule even if you do reverse them, shame really.

It works to a degree, but the 3D effect is hardly there plus you can’t move around too much.

It’d be interesting though to see this through a Oculus. It’d be more interesting if someone could make pony stereograms.
