Spike’s size is ever changing. Here, he is taller than he usually is. Yet in the next episode, he is smaller than he usually is and can’t see around the ponies. Twilight is taller than most ponies now, and it looks like he could still see around her pretty easily in this scene. Kind of wish they would give him a consistent size.

hehe, I love this scene, It’s the first time I’ve noticed spike’s a taller and bit lankier and little less tubby then when the show started. >< It’s not much but given how I’ve been focusing on art with him lately I picked up on it… now to check back and see if it’s noticable in earlier S4 episodes.

I’ve always assumed that dragons eat gems for their magic content. Gemstones in Equestria apparently “grow” in the earth, presumbably absorbing some kind of Earth magic that tranforms ordinary rock and dirt into beautiful gemstone. A dragon’s digestive process reverses that, extracting the Earth magic and causing the digested gemstones to revert back to their original base forms.
 
Which, of course, means that Spike literally shits bricks.

Given a dragon’s favorite foods and their bodies practically being furnaces I don’t think anything coming out of one could be considered “pleasant”.
 
OK, maybe they don’t mind, but I bet you Twilight’s bathroom has the best ventilation in the entire town.

Correction: we see a big pile of nachos in the trash. Spike & Twi could eat themselves sick from that mountain of food, and there still would be a huge heap left over.

What’s he complaining about? He now has a mountain of nachos and only one person he maybe has to share it with.

Considering how she tore into the hayburgers, I’m pretty sure she can topple that Nacho Mountain by herself with ease

I really want some nachos after that episode. What a big influence those ponies got on me.
