Ohh, I have ages without watching the movie or playing the games… that gun looks good, but it doesn’t seem trusty.
I will choose the m1911 because I can trust on it, and mostly because I know every inch of the gun. A glock is good, nowdays it’s the police choise after all… but I’m not used to handle it. I tried it once 2 years ago and I didn’t like it. It looked like a toy gun for me XD

Ah, right. Well, the Samurai Edge is still a Beretta, just a customized Beretta.

I don’t mean I think the Beretta is better, I only say that because Jill Valentine’s primary weapon when she fought her way out Raccoon City was a customized Beretta M92 “Samurai Edge”.
Really, from what I’ve read, I’d take a M1911 (OR a Glock for that matter) over a Beretta any day.

I own a m1911, and I will always prefer it even over a glock. Though it’s a personal opinion, since I have used it all my life XD
