Yeah, I think FiM has momentum enough now that they can afford to drop the TV-Y rating. And a good thing, too, because as much as I love my pone, I think it would start to go bland if they were restricted to TV-Y for four whole seasons.
That was because for Season 1 they had to adhere to the very strict EI guidelines. I think she said something along the lines of “Even stuff that was okay for TV-Y had to be toned down” By they stopped doing that when Season 2 came along.
I love how much creative freedom they have! Lets not fuck it up by having another huge shitstorm that puts them on a short leash again…
