Lol, that’s true, For one thing you don’t want to swallow it and second you will get a face full of CO2 which will burn your nose a bit and is a bit suffocating. (I have done it anyways, that co2 really can take your breath away)
You can put dry ice in a drink to cool it but it has to be in a container like a punch bowl and you have to take the drink out of said container before you drink any, it’s not good to drink something with the dry ice still in it.
Wonder if dry ice would make an interesting novelty type substitute.
Makes sense, considering that actual ice melts and waters down the drink. Unless you freeze cubes of whatever it is you’re drinking.

Ya soapstone, look us “whiskey stones” and you will find cubed ones for drinks.
Ice is just a modern substitute. It used to mean actual cold rocks.
