And yeah, the comics have their dark moments to. I loved how in the first story arc the artist Andy Price would keep shifting back and fourth between “cute” Queen Chrysalis, and then giving her very nightmare fuel-like expressions.

I wasn’t implying that girls can’t like dark things. But really. People call this show frilly and girly but then shit like this happens.

Blah if you’re going to do that at least get the effects right, and pick a drug that makes sense.
 
Rarity hardly strikes me as the sort to be into a rather hardcore hallucinogens (that’s the only real reason people abuse it, to cause hallucination) . Also someone on Ketamine would look rather more like they were really drunk (lethargic, slurred speech, minimal awareness of what’s going on around) then like they were tweaking on meth since it’s a powerful anapestic…
 
Also, Ketamine is rarely actually injected outside a clinical setting. It’s effects can be achieved quite readily be simply snorting the crystallized solids produced after drying out stolen medical solutions (the most common source) without any of the risks involved with needles. Just eating the same will also work, but at a reduce rate. So that image under it should really be a flakly white substance that looks rather like kosher salt.
 
So yeah, Rarity doing Ketamine at all is rather silly in my view. No, as high strung lady with pretensions toward the upper class Rarity would definitely be a pillhead; probably prescription opioids and sleeping pills.

I like how even though she’s gone completely insane and allowed her house to go to shambles… She still apparently finds time to apply her eye shadow and perm her mane. I wouldn’t even call it an oversight really. I can honestly totally see crazy Rarity taking care of herself just enough to look ‘hollywood insane’ rather then’insane, insane’.
 
Heck, I bet she brushed those tatters bits into her mane and everything.
