So maybe a hundred people will actually not watch the episode, and Hasbro will surely shake in their boots right? Jezus people, get a grip. First of all, I can guarantee you that about 3/4th of the more vocal people going all “Imma boycott Hasbro! That will show them” actually won’t do it. THe few that do, will make no difference. Secondly, this isn’t Hasbro sending the C&D, but a lawyer from a firm working for them, who most likely doesn’t know about bronies, or doesn’t care. If you really want to protect future animations and projects, how about you get together somehow and PROTEST the law that forces Hasbro to do this, because otherwise they might very wel end up losing the MLP license.
Okay lets bring more positivity, since Jan is CAndD for the moment, who is still active as na animator in the community
-Well,there’s still PikaPetey

Not really. If they “didn’t want us around”, it’s well within Hasbro’s power to remove most fan content from the Internet.
It should be assumed that when a fandom is centered around a given Intellectual Property (IP), it’s likely that the company owning that IP isn’t going to let fans get away with everything, ever. If a said company (Hasbro) were to make a statement about fan’s use of the IP, they’d probably say most content is illegal, which is probably why Hasbro hasn’t explicitly spoken against such fan material. It can’t condone it (legally), but it won’t condemn it. An occasional C&D is inevitable.
It sucks, yeah. I’m saying that it could be far, far worse.

It isn’t that we are stupid, but merely hungry for a change here. Fan created material shouldn’t be something that is abolished.
Does boycotting ever do anything at all? I mean that big companies such as Hasbro probably won’t even notice since what little money they would lose would be made back up in seconds anyway.
Last episode I saw was Daring Doo, what did Hasbro change because of that?
…wait a minute…
…does that mean that it’s my fault that Hasbro took down Jan?
I’m sorry, I’m sorry, please don’t hurt me!
Because I guarantee this isn’t helping, it’s making it worse.

At least Hasbro isn’t Disney. Disney is ruthless.
Read it and weep, sucker.
