After that Spike started visiting Sweetie on a regular basis. And she was always enthused to see him. Eventually, Spike came to me about breaking up, now knowing that it would never work between us. He said he was sorry and blamed himself for it, but I told him not to worry, and it was never his fault.
Soon after that, I subtly encouraged Sweetie to ask Spike out for a date. She was, unsurprisingly, very willing. If a bit embarrassed at my brazenness.
And the rest is, as you might, history.
I’m still waiting for the conversion into a spiderman thread.
I don’t think that this is even the worst that I’ve seen on this site.
She had her doll pretend to do homework. She was very interested in school.
Probably because she was more interested in learning how to level buildings with her mind than learn about Other Schools
How would that prevent her from finding out about more common types of school?
Maybe because Twilight was in effectively Boarding School since she was a filly…
Sorry if this is intrusive, but I’ve looked at your other comments, and I don’t particularly like the content. Too much meta related stuff, and what isn’t is just… bizarre.
Yeah, that works.So let’s just drop this so you can get back to your, uh, “discussions,” and I can get back to my poroooooonies.
That was close.I mean, HEY LOOK! A DRAGON!Look, if high school is a common thing, why wouldn’t Twilight recognize it? If nothing else, you’d expect other schools to resemble it.
If I’m coming across as condescending, I’m sorry.
@Jumpitydude
It was confirmed for not being mentioned, no more, no less.
And it’s highly unlikely that the comics are in continuity with the show, meaning that there is no proof of high school existing in the cartoon.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that Equestria Girls was confirmed for NON-CANNON. So that means Twilight could very well know what the inside of a high-school looks like and the movie just went “Nope. Screw that.” and it wouldn’t play into how the show really goes at all. Not counting the cameo from He Who Shall Not Be Named from that one episode.
And this is all assuming that the comics are even cannon, which it can be argued that they aren’t.
Knowing two people that attended high-school isn’t much to go off of. Heard a few stories of it? Not enough to give a good image. And even if we account for open-houses, Twilight probably would have preferred to study than attend a thing that was mostly about meeting ponies she had no interest in.
Now could you please stop being so condescending towards me?
Right. She never, ever visited her older brother or heard stories from him or her babysitter, nor has she ever seen the inside of it.
You don’t have to attend a high school to know what they look like.
@Ambris
That’s all right. The important thing is that you are planning to address it.
As I already said in a previous post, give me some time to actually go into dude. I can only produce so much content a week. This blog is meant to be a continuous story. The only reason I didn’t do a Part 2/3 or something like that was because I don’t know how many part there will be. There was a lot more than I want/wanted to tell, but I’ve got limits. You can’t write a novel overnight.
And if you’re really just curious, and wanting to know, that’s totally fine. It’s more about the people who are instantly condemning of this entire story even though it’s yet incomplete. Or the people who just literally hate any and all competition to Sparity, and simply don’t care what I have to say to justify it.
Grow up people, seriously.
>>Twilight Sparkle didn’t recognize a school like the one that her older brother attended in the comics.
Because, ya know, she totally attended school outside of Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns. That’s not hard to believe. /sarcasm.
Okay.
What’s your headcanon? Are you going to go into how the age/experience gap between Spike and Sweetie Belle is better than the one between Rarity and Spike? Why does he switch from liking older mares to younger mares?
I wasn’t saying it was bad, I just wanted to see your explanation.
This exactly.
We could all argue back and forth until Season 5 and not come to an agreement. I’d rather people just enjoy the story for what it is, or if it’s not their cup of tea, then go somewhere else.
Everybody seems to forget, that literally every freaking ship can be justified if you focus on certain traits and dismiss others.
People also forget that this is the story I’m personally telling. This is my interpretation of these characters. If you don’t agree, more power to you. Go write your own blog, or follow one that suits your tastes more. This is what I’ve chosen to do, and you have no right or precedence to assert your interpretation as being more valid than mine, anymore than I have any right to assert my interpretation as more valid than yours.
So please, accept that this is my headcanon or begone. I don’t have the time or energy to justify my headcanon to someone who is married to a different one. You’re welcome to enjoy your own, I won’t stop you. Just do it somewhere else, capiche?
fucking damnit, damn you small details easy to forget!
They did say Pinkie’s name right at the end.
the babies weren’t talking at one month old, they were WALKING at one month old, which is very normal for animals that walk on 4 feets.
I am damn sure the babies never spoke a sigle word (outside the usual baby sounds) during all the episode.
We’ve seen him go to Canterlot on business separately from Twilight before. His job isn’t on par with Rarity, but we’ve seen how children are treated. They don’t work full time like that.
Just because he can leave a job doesn’t mean that it isn’t a job.
@Background Pony #D8FA
What makes you think this?
Season two, Baby Cakes. The twins were talking at only a month old. They don’t age as quickly as horses, but still faster than humans.
There was also an old statement from Faust, where she said that that was why the Manes are adults but only between twelve and seventeen for maturity.
It does, read the comics. The arc with Shining Armor and Cadence was entirely about them when they were in high school.
The comics do, but that actually contradicts Equestria Girls, where Twilight Sparkle didn’t recognize a school like the one that her older brother attended in the comics. Given that those issues included a Quantum Leap cameo, I’ll take them about as seriously as presented and assume that those events are either distorted beyond recognition or not supposed to be canon.
And furthermore…
>We know that ponies mature vaguely faster than humans
What makes you think this? Last week’s episode showed Sweetie Belle when she was only 5 and she was noticeably smaller and more baby-like in appearance than she is in the present day. If they aged like horses then Sweetie Belle would’ve been an adult at 5, but given her appearance and behavior I think the simplest explanation is that they mature the same as humans.
>Not that we know if Equestria has a high school equivalent
It does, read the comics. The arc with Shining Armor and Cadence was entirely about them when they were in high school.
You keep on mentioning Spike as having “a full-time job” on par with Rarity. I don’t think that’s the case, though. We know he’s Twilight’s assistant, but given that he was apparently raised either by or alongside Twilight, I think he does that more as a little brother who wants to help his older sister.
Remember how things were in “Spike At Your Service?” When he went back to Twilight to tell her that he had to serve Applejack instead? He never described what he was doing as a job, or said that he was quitting or anything like that. He always called himself Twilight’s “assistant” and said that had to “serve” Applejack. He doesn’t seem to see his status as a “job.”
Sorry. Half asleep and 1/10th logical as most.
