It takes about 20 hours to make one plushie, based on information from Whitedove’s site.
Even at US federal minimum wage that’s $145. Are you really suggesting that these artists work for minimum wage? And that’s before materials. $300 is completely reasonable.

I’d say that they’re worth $150, but not any higher than that. If you really wanna pay that much, then that’s your decision.
Because they take hours and hours of work, are made of expensive materials, and are amazing quality.
