just practice moar at art. you’re already drawing the right picture like with applejack on the picnic. it just lacks detail and depth perception, and a sense for “lots of things happening but everything is still so quiet and serene”. that stuff comes after you’ve drawn the picture for 6 months straight.
 

OK so here are some thoughts on it were I asking it:
 
I want to draw SFW things. So, I’ll go from that; First, Draw Pony or do something Pony-related; That’s a basic stepping stone. I’ve been asked to draw an OC and Pinkie Pie + Big Macintosh in a boat too, So those are things that can be done.
 
As for what I like? Well, A drawing of the Mane 6 in a 1977-1990 Model Year full-sized G.M (Buick Electra/LeSabre, Chevrolet Caprice, Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser, Pontiac Parisenne/Safari) or Ford LTD/Crown Victoria or Mercury Station Wagon with Pinkie Pie in the rear-facing seat making funny faces to passers-by would be appreciated. But that’s not me asking you for it exactly, I’m just putting it out there if anyone wants to draw it. I might draw it.

in school you are taught in day 1 of art is to first learn how others do.

for instance, that one humanized sweetie belle is not that bad but even that needs a ton of work and polish,  
start with a pose, something simple but not too simple and then grow from there, learn how each part of the anatomy looks in that pose and angle and just redo redo redo until it improves.
 
art is only improved with time.

your style is so simple and looks like the roughest of sketches, try working on proportion, anatomy, scale, angles of the character and poses, start small and make a character in a pose that looks really good and then grow from there.

Unless he draws fetish art, because in that case, no matter how good the pic is, the score will remain around zero at best ;)  
But I agree, improve to have more ups and less downs.

At your current level of skill, that is the maximum number of upvotes you’re worth, I’m afraid.  
In fact, a whopping 20 upvotes on your AJ pic is a VERY high rating for a beginner.  
Most images with this quality have far less.
 
The more detailed your pics become, the more upvotes you are goping to get, I promise. :)
