It’s more likely she’s just as “bad” as Tiara. While I wouldn’t mind both of them becoming nicer later on, or perhaps becoming reformed near the end of the series, I get kinda tired of the fanon ideal/desire for Spoon to “betray” Tiara, and such. Or this idea that Spoon “never did anything wrong, and is just a flunky following orders, Tiara is the only one responsible for her actions.”  
(Which honestly, doesn’t seem like the case to me from her behavior in the show.)
 
I think people just get this idea, because she was the first one to applaud Granny Smith’s story. (The only “nice” thing she ever did in the show. Though, Tiara & Spoon did let the CMC go to their pool party, and stuff in “Twilight Time,” but that was just brown-nosing.)
 
Not to mention she was pretty relentless with picking on the CMC, especially in “Flight to the Finish,” and “One Bad Apple.” (In fact, I think she was the one to start picking on them before Tiara started, in one of those episodes, and she acts just as snobby as Tiara does.)

No, you’re not. You’re a mindless follower. Now grow a spine and stand up to Diamond Tiara.
