Well, that’s certainly a sternly-worded defense of a child rapist you’ve got there, Mister Anonymous Coward, although I can’t help but notice that you included the phrase “even if said allegation was true” in your attempt to claim that vaunted moral high ground. I guess saying in public that you think it’s totes okay to just rape one child kindasorta explains the whole “post anonymously” thing.
Your defense has a few problems, though. To quote the article:
||…I suppose now you’ll want to deflect it back to arguing about a pattern of behavior, as if that makes it totally okay that he’s an incestuous child rapist? Do be aware that his romance with his stepdaughter was only officially announced when she was 19 (and he 56); the creepiness of their relationship had been commented upon long before. Feel free to try to justify that with the boilerplate hagiographic sop that Allen never actually married Farrow, but be also aware that since Soon-Yi was his son Ronan’s sister, that made him legally her father in many jurisdictions, and it is undeniable that their prior relationship was that of parent and child. There probably wouldn’t have been quite so many custody lawsuits in the aftermath otherwise. Don’t take my word for it, though :

I like how a single allegation about one child (single tense) that was never proven means that he has a “fondness for sexually assaulting children”. Heck, even if said allegation was true, your claim would still be dubious. But no, you go ahead and continue defaming a man by making serious allegations with virtually no proof. You’re totally the one with the moral high ground here.
Nonono, it’s a cumulative effect; the more people talk about Woody Allen’s fondness for sexually assaulting children, the less any of his defenders will be able to convince anyone he deserves any respect; or, y’know, oxygen.
