It just bugs me that that’s the solution to that problem instead of it being “applejack liquor” or something. I don’t know, man, whatever.
The problem is that Applejack simply selling applejack would look weird. It’s ‘ponified’ by making the name ‘Applejack Daniels’.
It just bugs me because they’re using a play on words to make something alcoholic when the original word can already refer to something alcoholic. It’s like saying “pie cake” to make the word pie dessert related.
My point is it’s a name joke, it’s not being redundant unless we say Applejack Daniels is just Jack Daniels made from apples from Applejack.

Applejack is the name for a alcoholic beverage made from apples but “Applejack Daniels” is a common name used for a pony world whiskey.
Isn’t applejack already an alcoholic drink? Or am I missing something here?
