He wasn’t afraid of the possum, they said he was startled by it in Everfree. That forest, you know, is kind of an easy place to get a jolt.

No he came off as being serious because as I said, it’s said to many time as a serious comment so he could of tried to set his comment apart in some very small way, but the joke ends up being he didn’t know how to make it a joke.

Just trying to help people understand there are ways to hint they are joking so not everyone will keep saying “well it’s hard to tell when someone is joking”
But NOOOO it seems everyone want to just leave themselves open to be misunderstand when joking, so when they have a problem when people get on them for not knowing when it’s a joke they can just blame themselves for it.
