Description
Summary
This is the story of Dante and Vergil from the Devil May Cry series, who after helping defeat Galactus, finally manage to find a way back home. However, an incident involving Vergil and a Marvel Hero accidentally sabotages their return trip.
Both Dante and Vergil are then flung across the universe and wind up in Equestria… as ponies!
How will the Demon twins fare with these circumstances and how will their arrival affect the Mane Six?

a bit perhaps, but certainly way better than alicorns…they flood the fanfics way more than half dragons…and lets not even get on the “long lost bother/lover/teacher/master” most people pull out for said alicorns =P
I remember when I found that out. I was watching the english version and I was like “Huh, why does he sound like Vergil?” and then I looked and I found out he was Vergil and that blew my goddamn mind.

I understand how you feel, im an avid fanfic reader going from naturo to teen titans to a bit of dragon ball and other random ones, i have had the pleasure of reading some great ones (a very few that even make me tink the writer could have very well been the autor of the manga) others toug…well whe all know that place.
Now the problem as i mentioned with many OC its how powerfull or overpowered they are made with no aparent reason, specially when they are just regular earth pony/pegasus/unicorn (taking out alicorns for ovious reasons), they pretty much just copy paste naturo/bleach/dragon ball powers out of the blue.
I have my own OC and actually im writing a fanfic, hes a half dragon/pegasus so its expected hes stronger and more resistant than regular ponys (a bit far fetched but at least thats a reason for being “more” on something than others) regardless he also has his flaws, some particularly big to compensate for his extra things…hes agresive (dragon blood had to have some efect after all), short tempered and kind of volatile (mind you he doesnt go rampanging all around but if someone pisses him off he doesnt just look mean at you, he can go growling to burn you down) so oviously that gives chance to create conflict but also interesting situations…at least thats what i try, to make im enjoyable but not a gary stu, with good and bad things (and i do have made him interact with the main 6 but keep it as small as posible outside two characters he interacts but doesnt blatantly go shiping out of the blue)
I read a fanfic months ago, and is a crossover romantic fimfic… ugh. Believe me, that happened in that fanfic, you know beating down all mlp the villans and the other universe villans…
Thanks to that fic, my hate with the crossover shipping is so dam high! And talking about Oc self-insert X canon, what I more hate about them us that they make hundreds of pics about the OC making sex with the canon one. Like if the creator of that OC wants to prove to everyone is that is “better than everpony”. What I mean is: “Lololo look at me!! I am fucking with x canon pony and you not! Lololo I am better than you!”
the problem with OC on mos fics its that almost every writer (particularly new ones) doesnt even take the time to develop them in to something, they just flat out ship them with their favorite character with no aparent reason, maken super popular and everyone like them, not to mention they are so freaking powerfull they could beat down (in the case of MLP) a combo of celestia luna discord sombra and chrisalis all togheter
I can see where you’re coming from with the first part, but Self Insert OCs, hell most OCs in general, are the bane of my existence.
True rulers of this wasteland have ambition! They see the potential of shipping across universes, not having characters tied to canon!
I know that. I will read that fanfic later. But just hearing that there is (maybe) crossover shipping in that fanfic, makes me cringe. I dont like crossover shipping. Is very stupid and makes you think (well in my case) that you are dating (and in some cases) and making sex with a pastel-colored magic horse from another dimension.

i be been reading it and seems there is.
On the subject it depends, many times its OC X cannon character, in this one its more of cross over characters from diferent universes…it can go both ways, depends on the writer really, so far i have enjoyed the fanfic, in general Dante and Vergil arent that out of character (save a very few things but they are somewhat pasable), i recomend you to give it a try, im already on chapter 13 and havent cringled at it…and belive me im very picky about what fanfics i read
