I think like with G4, it depends on the pony.
I’d agree they did rely waaaay too much on pink and white though.

I agree, it is very awesome :) Plus it fits into how Lauren Faust had the plan originally for the Mane Six with Surprise, Sparkler, Posey, and Firefly instead of Pinkie, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow.
