Most of them really don’t know how they fought, they think they do, but they really, really don’t… but I digress.

Really though I didn’t have much of an issue with this or find it that odd. There are plenty of people that are a fan of something or even a participant, but aren’t historians or statisticians about it. Often because they’re you know focused on doing the job/activity well. This is after all WHY coaches and such exist and why the job is quite different from that of a player.

It’s possible to be a fan of the current version of something, but know jack squat about it’s history. Take Pokemon, how many kids today who have only played X and Y only know/care about X and Y and nothing about what came before? Same with something a bit more controversial like Call of Duty. How many kids today who only know about games like Modern Warfare or Ghosts, and nothing about how the series started as a World War II shooter back in 2003? (remember: kids born in the year 2000 are now teenagers)

@CronoM
Merriweather Williams did Wonderbolt Academy, this one was by Amy Keating Rogers.

Some writer forgot to remember she aced the Wonderbolt Academy with flying colors. It’s pretty clear the word ‘academy’, along with their age group, means she learned a lot to pass.

Who was the writer again? Maybe he/she missed the memo. Although I don’t see how you can miss the memo for knowing an episode of the show your writing for.

Yeah, and won’t the Wonderbolts be happy to find out later that they accepted a lazy jock-tard who can’t even buckle down and do something unpleasant for five minutes without goofing off and who needs a town-wide parade organised for them, if they ever have to learn a few simple facts.

@Prof.NightJack
Well, we know a small amount HAVE tried the original series, but the majority haven’t. Everyone knows (or at least they should) G1 was where it was at. G4 wouldn’t exist without parts of G1, which is why it gets referenced the most.

It’s like us bronies. We like G4, but we don’t give a crap about the previous generations.
