I understand that the word “whose” exists.
 
Regardless, if someone spells the incorrect form of the word, it’s still a misspelling.  
If I spell “to” as “too”, it is a spelling error and a grammatical mistake because the intended word was spelled incorrectly.
 
So really, a spelling error is a type of grammatical mistake.

If I wrote “whave been drawing”, THAT is a spelling error. I am willing to admit I made an error but I’m not going to concede that point. Goodnight.

The form of the word was spelled incorrectly. They’re both pronounced the same way.
 
Ergo, it is a grammatical error and technically a spelling error.
