Pinkie’s a Plesiosaurus and Rainbow’s an Ornithocheirus (a type of pterosaur).
Also making her physically imposing explains why she can scare others when she gets mad.
Thats also the idea I have, since Fluttershy hates being the center of attention, they give her cualities that make her hard to be ignored, they make her taller, bigger, stronger, etc. Probably just a way to “troll” with her design.
That explains most of the humanizations makes her mostly of a Swedish or Norwegian descent.
Alternatively, being a tall/bigger persona among the others means she cannot fully go shrinking violent and is forced to work through her shyness, which is argubly when ’shy is best.
People tend to think Fluttershy is just the biggest, lion-hearted person under all her Flutter-ness, and species swaps reflect that by her being the physically biggest or strongest.
Uh, what?
Shy girl is hard to be shy. Or pushed about easily.
