Not everyone wants the first thing though. That’s what the whole Adult baby thing is, and usually it’s not sexual.
The second one is the DL part of ABDL. That’s the more sexual part like the whole latex thing.

Just like a lot of fetishes this one can also be based in power exchange, giving up “grown up benefits” to be cared and treated like a kid by someone else is usually part of the appeal. Also for a lot of us, the diaper alone can be a fetish object the same way latex suit works for latex fetishist.
