Assuming your jar in in a warm place.
my day has just been full of weird.
And then eventually someone discovered that Lithium-Hydroxide works great for Co2 scrubbing, and those were invented and found excellent application in space exploration.
@Cirrus Light
Eeyup. He went on to note that the candle and the mouse would extinguish/pass out should he put the exact same setup in the dark.
Science!
I didn’t know mint filtered carbon and created oxygen that fast.
This means nothing within the context of the picture, I just wanted to share some scientific history with y’all.
@BK_Leonidas
Actually, you don’t use up air. Your lungs absorb oxygen (Earth’s atmospheric air is ~80% Nitrogen, and 20% Oxygen) and combine Oxygen O2 molecules with Carbon to form Co2, and at that, only a small fraction of the oxygen (which is only 20% of the air) you consume with each breath is actually used.
Also, Co2 is somewhat toxic. In a trapped airtight container, you will die from breathing in too much Co2 long, long, long before you run out of oxygen.
And with a container that big compared to her lungs, it might take her all day to build up too much Co2.
She could be breathing on the air that was already in the jar when the lid was put on.
Though the air would eventually become to thin to breath.
