I have my moments.
Well aren’t you just a spark of sunshine :)
I’m not worried about that at all, because the writers would have to see him as a character for that to happen.
Yes, I know you weren’t disagreeing with it. It was just bad wording on my part.
All I meant to say was that you shouldn’t worry about any “chosen one” business because it was all very self-explanatory: Wonderbolts can’t do jack against dragons.
Spike just took it to another level by beating them without violence.
Don’t really get why people are making such a big deal about it.
Pic tried to hype the Wonderbolts, QC posted one that shows the opposite in the show.
It was a joke. And its funny because its true.
No need to overanalyze it.
Also, Spitfire’s group is supposed to be pretty competent, which only makes this better.
The author of this comic was obviously trying to use dragons to hype his/her OC, but the fact that a “competent team of WBs” was shown to fail against one that wasn’t even trying to defend himself kinda beats the whole purpose. And its hilarious as well.
So basically, the Wonderbolts are useless against both real and minor threats.
Seriously though, while the falling Rarity thing was obviously done on purpose so RD could do her Rainboom, the Spike example does show pegasi (no matter how well-trained) aren’t just going to take down a dragon “like a mild nusance”. That’s just retarded.
Are we really turning this into an argument?
Let’s see what the picture says.
“a competent team of Wonderbolts would consider a lone dragon a mild nuisance”
Seeing how the Wonderbolts handled themselves against Spike, a joke was just inevitable. The pic is basically telling us that the Wonderbolts are incompetent.
We know they are the best flyers in Equestria though, since they’re laying that on quite thick in the show.
And you do not need to explain to me that panicked people are a hazard. I am not an idiot.
Again, the image unintentionally implies the current Wonderbolts aren’t competent. That is kind of funny.
But we can’t make jokes. We are conditioned to take everything seriously.
The former example is a creature that NOBODY could even slow down until Rarity’s little deus ex machina, the latter is a very real hazard faced by all would-be rescuers of panicked people, professional or otherwise.
And I never did imply that. I just replied to somebody’s joke.
As for the Wonderbolts, Spitfire and co. must not be very competent. Not only is a one dragon not but a mild nuisance, they got knocked out by Rarity flailing her hooves too.
You didn’t, I was just saying how it really wouldn’t imply he’s any kind of chosen one.
And when did I disagree with that?
fixed.
@QueenCold
Since he defeated a Wonderbolt team without any kind of violence (fire, claws, etc), and chances are he didn’t even have proper rationality by then, I think more than any “chosen one” business, it just shows the complete opposite of what this comic portrays.
Oh god, my sides…
I really hope he isn’t some sort of chosen one. We don’t need a Gary Stu in the show.
Clearly Spike is the chosen one of dragons.
Poor guys…
