Airplane! is an excellent movie. One of those comedies that I will instantly and fervently recommend for people to see if they haven’t, along with stuff like Blazing Saddles and The Lego Movie.

It’s really unfortunate that Leslie Nielsen died, because my dream died with him.
 
My dream was to one day direct my own movie. It was going to be an action thriller drama comedy zombie apocalipse romcom war movie. Towards the end, in a really dramatic moment, the main lead and the love interest were going to be driving in a van towards the enemy zombie forces (which was generaled by the recently zombiefied ex of the love interest). In their van, they were transporting the cure for the zombie virus, for which all of their plucky companions bravely gave their lives. They are, at this point, literally the only two people left alive on the planet.
 
Right before they are about to engage the enemy forces, the back door opens and, with the van driving at full speed and without explanation, Leslie Nielsen steps into the van, says “I just wanted to tell you both good luck. We’re all counting on you” and then leaves without saying another word.
