the some of the writing for her now just annoys me. I think it most depends on who’s writing the episode. It also doesnt help that andrea uses a super high pitched voice for her sometimes

I actually find Mako much less insufferable than Pinkie Pie. As airheaded as she is, as random as she is, she usually makes things better.
Pinkie Pie is just completely insensitive to everyone who is not her. We’ve seen this with Cranky, we’ve seen this in Filli Vanilli with Fluttershy…

The thing with mako is that half of the time, Mako does act like a totally airhead. Which if you don’t like, then that sucks. BUT, the other half, she says the most true and heartfelt things in the show. The strongest examples being both times that she saved Ryuko from herself.

Yeah, this. She was almost as insufferable as Nui, and at least with Nui you got to see her get curbstomped and spend the remainder of the show wallowing in impotent rage.
