Its simple: MLP takes place many many MANY years after LPS, where humans all died out and the only animals to survive were ponies and fluttershys friends. The scooter is a lost remnant of the human era and discord takes it for his own.

While MLP subverted many of the girls’ show cliches, LPS is creative, but ends up still mostly as a straight girl’s show. Enjoyable, but still a real girls’ show.

I actually like LPS and MLP. I hope both shows last 6 to 7 season because as long as that piece of crap johnny test can have 7 season i think mlp and lps should have that many or more also. Both great shows filled with great characters, songs, and lessons.
