Pink wings? That’s just because she’s been draining Pinkie Pie’s color.
 
Pinkie Pie still looks like her normal colors because she is so pink that her body can’t normally display all of it at once.

My headcanon is that she’s biracial, fond of tea and booze, and blind. She’s also very protective of Fluttershy.

In that case she’s just a special little snowflake who gets natural purple tinting. As a teenager, they were entirely pink, and seemed to change color from age. Come to think of it, pretty much all the alicorn princesses get some special characteristic. Celestia is super-tall, Luna has those splotches on her butt, Cadance’s wings are so pretty, and Twilight needs to grow into hers.
 
The reason I don’t think the same of this alicorn is because her wings are a uniform shade of different color. And it’s also fun to imagine ancient alicorn adversaries.

Cadance has gradient wings. Maybe she’s a pink unicorn whose wings were taken from a purple pegasus “donor?”

That’s funny, I was just thinking of some secret conspiracy that seeks alicornification, and what they end up doing is kidnapping Pegasi with compatible tissue and removing their wings and leave them for dead. They attach the wings with magic and medicine, and use glamour spells to hide the obvious color discrepancies. This “princess” is the highest ranked, and her glamour spell failed just for a moment.

The wings are pink, but she is yellow! What matter of madness is this HASBRO?

There have been brushables that weren’t in the show. At least, I think.

I headcanon that there may be a few other alicorns running around in the world, given all it takes for ascension is some great deed and another alicorn to promote you really. If there was even on “renegade” alicorn sometime in the past who was a bit less stringent, there stands to reason there might be some more.
 
Or, historical princesses. I’m thinking maybe this one was petrified in a coup a few centuries ago and needs to wake up and see her kingdom gone/in ruins/managing just fine without her.
 
Also, Hasbro does have a reputation for just releasing slightly different-colored toys on a regular basis.

And then 5 Princesses from the past reemerge for some reason and give their alicorn powers to the other mane six in season 5’s finale because you can’t sit on a throne if your a filthy non-princess.

Wasn’t the princess Skyla toy just a doll, while these recent alicorn toys are burashables?

We might not even see her in the show, considering all the pony toys that have yet to appear. (And even if she does, I don’t mind.)
