.::My Little Pony Corruption Is Magic::.
Twilight had solved the problem of her friends’ Cutie Marks being switched. The town was elated, her friends were finally happy again following their true destinies. That was when she felt it, a shudder going through her whole body that seemed to stem from the magic within her.

“That’s it! I know how to fix the spell!”

The unicorn rushed to her library to grab hold of Starswirl the Bearded’s book, using her magic to hoist her quill over the next blank page as she recited the spell:

“From all of us together, together we have discovered our end. With the mark of our destinies made separate, the true magic can ascend!”

As she uttered the last few words, the book suddenly lit up in an eerie purple light which radiated down upon the purple unicorn. Her friends gasped in fright as a dark laugh echoed around them, the light swirling around Twilight now. The lights within the library all went out, making the scared mares scream out in fright. Ad midst the panic, Rarity lit up her horn to try and see what had happened.

“Twilight is gone!”

As Twilight opened her eyes, she noticed that she seemed to be standing upon a dark swirling vortex, with the smallest of glimmers in the velvet tones. “Hello? Where am I? What is this place?” she called out cautiously.

“Congratulations, Twilight. I knew you could do it”

The young unicorn gasped as she recognised that dark low rumble. She turned around, gasping as from the darkness stepped a face she didn’t expect to see.

“Sombra… I don’t understand. What did I do?”

The former king of the Crystal Empire smirked down at the confused mare, his form shifting slightly to a more smoky form. His eyes glowed with the similar amethyst vapor.

“You did something today that’s never been done before. Something even a great unicorn like Star Swirl the Bearded was not able to do, because he did not understand how to use others to his advantage like you do. The lessons you’ve learned here in Equestria have taught you well. You have proven that you’re ready, Twilight.”

Twilight couldn’t turn her head away as flashes of memory swirled before her eyes. All those times she had said something, implied something that had been the cause of turmoil or argument or strife. She had caused it. She had become a force not to be reckoned with. It was under her lead that they defeated Nightmare Moon, that they had vanquished Discord. They only managed to defeat Sombra because of Twilight’s sacrifice. Her friends were merely tools to an end.

“Ready? Ready for what?” whispered Twilight, her eyes mimicking the colours of Sombra’s own.

“It’s time for you to fulfill your destiny…”

I wanted to do something like this for so long. I’m going to be doing a small series simply known as Elements of Corruption.

Expect to see the rest of the mane six in some form of corrupted state…by different characters.
