Apple Bloom, you didn’t say anything when Trixie claimed to be surrounded by idiots. Also, has Pinkie Pie been teaching you how to break the 4th wall? Whether or not she did, I doubt you’ll get a 4th wall breaking cutie mark. Though, I want to know what one would look like.

Aww, I had a feeling this arc was only going to be a two-parter. I wonder if the same team is gonna be doing the two-parter right after or not.
 
Anyway, at least Apple Bloom gets to play a part in this arc, my favorite crusader X3 !

Maybe it’s referring to the fact that this could all be a hoax to get Trixie into the spotlight?

Their eyes are way too big and it’s reminding me of a non-pony property (especially Trixie’s expression and face) but I can’t quite remember what…

Clearly Rarity is the one who stole the diamond, and is framing Trixie.

I’m not sure if it’s meant to be a close parody, as “the perp in the spotlight” gag is fairly common, and works well for cover art.

Old tricks? Trixie’s never stolen before. She was a boastful entertainer in her first appearance and a vengeful pony driven mad by a power-amplifying amulet.
 
An amulet she obtained legally.

It a parody of the original cover for X-men: days of future past comic. A cover that parody so many times just by marvel them selves let alone over comic publishers.

That’s not nice, Trixie. Applejack and Fluttershy are trying to defend you. Also, Apple Bloom hasn’t said anything. Just be mad at Rarity for being a jerk.

Rarity: I have an idea! How about we leave Trixie to the cops and forget about this entire thing.
