I was talking about the feather structure, but okay. the wings are just clusters of feathers, no bone structure or anything like actual wings.
also everyone knows that pegasi use magic to assist them in flight so they don’t have to have stupidly huge wings.
Yarly. Out of all ponies on the show, Celestia’s wings come the closest to being a functional size. They’re still a long way off, though.
If real life physics applied, any character capable of getting airborne would have wings bigger than the rest of them, because that’s what it would take to get the body mass of an equine into the sky.
Canon Celestia has magical foldaway wings that are attached only by a tiny joint beneath the shoulders, and logically should not be able to lift her into the air at all.
Why people worry so much about how real life physics would apply to a magical construct boggles me.
