Here, I’ll restate it special, just for you: “Assuming that everything which is shown onscreen is meant to be a literal representation of what is actually happening in a particular scene overlooks the rather obvious fact that this is a cartoon for children which incorporates many hyperbolic comedic elements, including visual exaggerations and sight-gags, which would not accurately portray what was happening in that scene were it being enacted by real magical horse-people in a real magical fantasy land. For example, Scootaloo was unlikely to have literally pulled her friends on a scooter over the entire route to the Crystal Empire, a distance of at least hundreds and possibly thousands of miles; that sequence was more likely to have been metaphorical, as a cartoonified representation of her determination to succeed.”

That’s something that a lot of fans don’t seem to realize when they’re loading the headcanons with hot shot and raising the red flag; this isn’t a documentary film about life in Equestria, it’s a cartoon about life in Equestria. Stuff is exaggerated and oversimplified and just generally presented cartoonishly. Scootaloo probably didn’t actually buzzbomb the CMC all the way to the Crystal Empire, that was just figurative. Bulk probably doesn’t actually have sparrow-sized wings, he’s just an exaggerated design.
