Depends on how much. If it’s in balance with what you are capable of – true courage to make a long story short – then it’s fine.
 
As for what happens when pride is misplaced or excessive or both… We tend to call the latter “rabid bronies”.

Excessive or unwarranted pride is bad, you stupid idiot.  
Blanket statements like “there is nothing wrong with X” are usually wrong, because there is something wrong with almost any conceivable thing.
