Damned right. Eco has the artist equivalent of the Midas Touch. Anything she touches is instant gold.
Look at Inconvenient Trixie. Really think about what that is. Pictures of Trixie just popping up and staring at Twilight. Nothing more. Yet Eco made it absolutely hilarious and brilliant.
She’s my favorite artist. Hands down.
Hasbro should give her a license, at least, to make something official. I’m not even vaguely joking. A license, and free reign, as long as it’s not openly vulgar or something.
Better yet: transformer ponies!
Not just your money, my friend.

I dunno, I think Hasbro might be down with selling toys of these just because their might be unisex appeal. Girls would like them because they’re cute and bright colors, and boys might like them because they’re jet-powered heavily armored mechanical potential killing machines. Like Pokemon.
Personally, though, I feel that Ego’s inspiration comes purely from a love and passion of the franchise which she might lose if she was actually doing it for a living.
What I’d like to see is for Ego to pull an Andy Price and do her own endorsed comic series. All my money would be thrown at that.
Given what I’ve read in her journals and on her Tumblr, I fear that Egophiliac would burn out pretty quickly if she were a regular member of the MLP:FiM staff; her inspirations seem to come in bursts, and she generally doesn’t seem to enjoy trying to work through dry spells. But if she could contribute occasionally as a freelance writer or consultant, I think she could add a lot of fun stuff to the show and/or comics, yes.
And I didn’t mean to imply that you thought Hasbro was perfect or anywhere near it, just pointing out that Hasbro the toy manufacturer, judging from their actions, is very reactionary, conservative, and risk-averse. While Hasbro Studios would no doubt love creating a steampunk-influenced cartoon, Hasbro the toy manufacturer wouldn’t be willing to create a toy line for an “unproven” market.
I’m not so blind as to think Hasbro–or anything, or any one–I admire is doing everything they could be, and can do no wrong. As a game designer, it’s in my face every…damn…day…
Egophiliac should be working for the FiM team. No gushing, no ego-stroking, just…look at everything they’ve done.
Why would Hasbro want to exploit a mostly-untapped market when they can follow the industry leaders and pick up their crumbs?
Note: I’m a Hasbro mocker, not a Hasbro hater. I question their competence rather than their ethics.
…it needs to become a show. No offense to Equestria Girls, but…
