Admirable.
I bet, but there’s more than one way to test ones plumbing.
For the sake of curiosity, hehe.
To be fair, the question could easily be rhetorical. Say I ask my parents, “Do you have five bucks?” I know they have $5, I know it won’t hurt them to give me $5, but we both know the actual question is “Will you give me five bucks?” just in a roundabout way that sounds less demanding.
Keep in mind that some of my other comments are within the context of the scope of this entire conversation, not just whatever comment I pushed reply on. Hopefully that’ll make the relevance clear.
>we don’t know what anon knows.
But we do know what we do and don’t know, and we know that we don’t know of any assets, income or social services we’d have access to in that situation to support a child. (Of course, the three people I was originally replying may well have been assuming that there were; hence my original question.)
>Maybe he knows Twi is capable and willing to help him with that
I read “Do you have any birth control spells? as implying that (s)he doesn’t already know.
>Maybe he wanted it soo bad that even if there was no way out of having a child he’d still do it, maybe, just maybe, he wanted kids anyway…
That would also fall under “no concern at all about potentially getting pregnant…” et cetera.
>Sure, but I figure if there’s an epidemic of unwanted children, the majority are not going to be from extenuating circumstances.
How did we get to “an epidemic of unwanted children”? I was (approximately) talking about what I’d do in the comic anonpony’s situation, to avoid getting one unwanted child.
>That being said, there’s nothing preventing a women from being dishonest as well, such as lying about taking birth control… so that’s not any more a guarantee, if anything it’s even easier to he dishonest.
That would fall under “no concern at all about potentially getting pregnant…” et cetera.

Sure, agreed. However we don’t know what anon knows. Maybe he knows Twi is capable and willing to help him with that, maybe he doesn’t and just went out and had sex without thinking, we simply don’t know. Maybe he wanted it soo bad that even if there was no way out of having a child he’d still do it, maybe, just maybe, he wanted kids anyway…
Or maybe I’m getting hung up on another irrelevance. The goal isn’t just to not get pregnant but to have sex, so if he doesn’t want to have sex with a condom (as many don’t), birth control or some alternative will be needed.
*that’s=thanks
They don’t prevent the stallion (who’s bigger than you and who you’ve just barely met) from refusing to wear them and cumming in you anyway.
I’m not explaining your state of mind or intentions to you, I’m explaining the implications of your phrasing to you. You made an accusation, instead of asking a question, whether or not that was your intent.
I don’t know where your mind is that leads you to believe condoms aren’t a means of solving unwanted pregnancy but a pill is…
>My point was you didn’t point out I assumed condoms existed, but did care that I assumed something like the morning after pill exists, when there’s no canon evidence to either.
I figured that the existence or not of condoms was irrelevant when they wouldn’t adequately solve the problem. Am I supposed to point out everything in a post that I disagree with regardless of relevance?
>You weren’t checking to see if they were assuming anon knew all this, you assumed it, that’s why your first comment was an accusation.
That’s for explaining my intentions and state of mind to me. Are you now saying that they were saying that what anon is doing is well thought out, and I’m wrong to question it?
My point was you didn’t point out I assumed condoms existed, but did care that I assumed something like the morning after pill exists, when there’s no canon evidence to either.
You weren’t checking to see if they were assuming anon knew all this, you assumed it, that’s why your first comment was an accusation.
My original question was directed at the three commenters I linked to, not the anon in the original comic.
You brought up condoms. It’s the existence of specific medication that’s in question (even within the comic), not medication in general.
>I don’t think anyone here is saying that what anon is doing is well thought out
I didn’t think so, but the three posters I replied to seemed to be implying it. I decided to ask, rather than assuming that they were.
All I wanted to do was ask a question.
Besides, you’re assuming anon doesn’t have answers to any of these questions and is as ignorant to the situation as the audience. He could just as easily know what his options are (supported by part 2) or simply not care and just wants to have sex. (And there are plenty who wouldn’t give it a second thought)
It a funny, you seem fine with the assumption of the concept of condoms (not show Canon), but medication (and we know they do have medication) is too much of an assumption?
It’s a comic and is supposed to be funny. I don’t think anyone here is saying that what anon is doing is well thought out, but it doesn’t matter.
As far as the rest what you said, it’s not even worth addressing really…
>making assumptions
>You blatantly assume
>assuming
>no known
The point is that I would, at bare minimum, check for the existence of those things, rather than assuming, with no information other than a fictionalized cartoon, that they existed (and freely offered their services to extradimensional intruders).
>He was saying people actually want to have their children as compared to here…
Is he unable to speak for himself? Why is he saying something that supports my point, namely that the lack of on-screen starving urchins could be adequately explained simply by responsible procreation, and doesn’t necessarily imply the existence of social services?
>If you don’t want foals have them wear a condom for some risk management, if they don’t then don’t have sex, if they force it now it’s rape.
…and therefore, I’m not pregnant? Nice to meet you, Mr. Akin.
Besides, I’d rather just take it in the butt.>Also there’s the morning after pill.
What were you saying about assumptions?
To the extent of jumping a stranger’s dick because “one vaguely similar species back home could abort on command, so I should be able to too”?
You blatantly assume that since it’s a kids show and be don’t see abortions or social services that there must not be any…and then here get huffy about others making assumptions because it’s a kids show.
@Background Pony #3B26
This guy says there’s no evidence for unwanted foals and you come back with saying that he’s implying they were unwanted but have all the abortions they want, when you just said they don’t have abortions? He was saying people actually want to have their children as compared to here…
@Background Pony #3B26
If you don’t want foals have them wear a condom for some risk management, if they don’t then don’t have sex, if they force it now it’s rape. How did you go from choosing to manage risk to it being the stallion going against the mares wishes? Seriously
Also there’s the morning after pill.
Also it’s a kids show, assuming because you don’t see abortions and foster children everywhere means they don’t happen is just stupid. I’m not saying it does happen, but to base that on what you might see is wrong, heck I don’t even see signs of abortion or unwanted kids walking down the street in real life. Why would I?
