Steve was a fantastic, awesome man.

You had to be a certain level of badass to pull off those shorts, and dammit, Steve did it with style.

I don’t know why I’m necro-ing this thread. Maybe it’s nostalgia or something. His son’s doing great things now too, keeping his father’s spirit alive. I just remember being in secondary school, coming home, and popping on the TV to watch him be awesome. The dude’s charisma was something to behold; Steve was just so happy to be there, no matter where the “there” in question was, interacting with nature and being alive. His love for nature rubbed off on you while you watched and I can only imagine how many kids bought subscriptions to Zoobooks as a result of him (I was one of them; zebras and giraffes are awesome, by the way).

The man was, and still is, one of my heroes. He’s one of the guys who took it upon themselves to show us all how amazing our planet Earth is and I don’t think I’ll ever stop thanking him for that.

Sorry, not sorry for the necro. I’m gonna go cry for a little bit.

I honestly think I idolized him when I was younger. He was an awesome person and was taken too soon.
Rest in peace, Steve Irwin.

All I really know is that if he had not met his fate then he could have been a voice for a pony that would have dicribed how she got him in the first place

It really was a sudden, unfortunate and most of all unfitting end. I always expected him to go down wrestling a giant croc. A stingray just seems lackluster.

tch he didn’t deserve it. He was trying to help stingray. He just made a mistake, it happens in every person and it’s a huge shame

I know what you mean yorec. He got up close and personal with extremely poisonous snakes, alligators, ect. ect. and he goes on fine without a scratch. and then a Sting Ray … i mean really, it wasn’t fitting for such a man

@Yurp

I just wish he could have gone out better. Like I don’t know saving his wife from an alligator attack or something equally badass.

Nature has a cruel sense of humor when one of the most non-hostile creatures kills him.

He was great but i’ll be honest i wasn’t all too surprised when he died … I was more surprised it took that long for him to die, he was fucking fearless

I was a massive fan of the crocodile hunter when I was a kid. I cried when he died.

Also, the lighting on his shirt makes it look like he’s got a boner.
