I think you need to stop sipping on that haterade, son.
I had enjoyed watching transformers as a kid. I didn’t really focus on the plot too much and enjoyed the explosions and transformations. I had fun with the toys.
But the term fun comes down to a person’s tastes. So what counts as fun for one person seems like a bore to another. It is pointless to try and force someone to enjoy something they hate.

There’s nothing “fun” about Transformers at all. I’m not just talking about Bay’s films either. All of it is bad, especially The Transformers Prime cartoon.
It’s a stupid fucking franchise with ugly ass robot designs, a retarded concept, and it takes itself too seriously.
Transformers FUCKING SUX!

I had no fun at all watching the movies. Too busy cringing.
I will say that Beast Wars had some pretty good moments, although it still had many of the failings that plague the brand in general.

For the original series maybe but beast wars, beast machines, animated and prime are genuinly good series and the movies are stupid fun. Very, very flawed but also very fun.
Mostly nostalgia I guess. We were kids, we didn’t know any better.
Of course, that’s a pretty poor excuse for stomaching the manure Bay has been shoveling for years now…
