Not everyone can do the wall-eyed version. Cross-eye version is easier for me and others.
Or something is wrong with your eyes.
Not everyone can do that cross-eyed method….
Yeah that doesn’t work for me either. The best way is actually to just use my entire hands. Close right eye, move left hand to block left half. Open right eye, close left eye, block right half with right hand. Close both eyes, then open them, and hopefully I can auto-focus on the resulting combination image.
With my eyes as soon as I have to put one finger in the middle the help me focus on it to get the effect but it only last for like a second before they my eyes dart in a random direction, the cross-eyed technique never works for me at all.
Yeah its the only way I have to do it and I can only get it to trigger properly by using my fingers to obscure the images I shouldn’t be focusing on for each eye, eg, holding my left finger in front of my left eye to block the left half, and right/right/right for the other. The end result still isn’t that impressive and leaves me feeling crosseyed for a while.
That’s free viewing, a means to do it without a stereoscope, and it really doesn’t work as well as with a stereoscope which also is meant work with the natural way your eyes work(binocular vision) and how well free viewing works varies for person to person, and also cause eye fatigue or strain.
It’s meant to be viewed with just your eyes and it works just fine. As it says, it’s meant to be viewed with the cross-eyed technique. I guess some people will find it harder than others but this explains it pretty well
Well it’s mean for use with a Stereoscope, like a View-Master, so it’s not really going to work with just your eyes alone.
If not, there should.
