I know how long even simple artwork can take (in fact, simpler art is actually harder to get right because even slight mistakes stand out more).  
I’ve been uploading pictures of my models under the artist tag ‘artist:40kponyguy’. One of the recent ones was of a marine themed to Snowdrop, hence leading me here.  
I have done more traditional art, only 4 of which are on here.  
I still need practice.  
I have been doing a crossover story and may yet turn it in to a comic strip.

Thanks for your critique, but unfortunately I don’t have enough time to update this.  
Also it’s not a recolor.

Looks a bit like a Fluttershy recolour to me.  
I think it’s just the mane, but the pose is also pointing me that way.  
Also, (I’m not trying to put you off here), the wings could do with a bit of a curve on them perhaps. They’re too straight.  
Better than my early attempts at drawing ponies anyway.
