Description
Not something I believe personally, but a headcanon for others to adopt.

Which is possible, this could simply be a would-be usurper who saw this as a chance to move up in the world. And it would explain why she was waiting for Twilight in the abandoned mines and how she knew what was going on. It’s a ridiculous headcanon, but it can be made to work if you really want it to.
4. She must be really weak then.
(LOL)
Seconded
Maybe the changeling had absorbed enough love to fake it that well.
Examples:
This theory could make an intresting “What if?” scenario, but it raises the question of “why whoul Chrysalis let Changeling Cadance to defeat her?”
You know, those are some very good questions, and by asking them, I’d almost assume you’re trying to make me think OP is wrong and Cadance isn’t a changeling. But I know you better then that, Twelfth Doctor Hoof.
I did too, the real Cadence actually died in a train wreck way before Shining and her fell in love and the attack was the idea of a power hungry underling. Thus “Cadence” manipulated things to her advantage in order to both dispose of the troublesome underling and as an opportunity to disappear from her subjects so she could live as a pony.
also this means i fell in love with a changeling and i don’t like that :I
Wait a tick… That means I’m single again!”
But again, why not do this in the first place?
Also, this means that Chrysalis gave up her Changeling magic when Tirek attacked, why didn’t she turn back?
Link?
Unless that wasn’t Chrysalis that lost in the episode- it might have been a changeling that was supposed to first impersonate Cadence and THEN impersonate the Queen so that Chrysalis could get entrenched in a really good position and have exactly zero suspicion on her.
