Anyone get the feeling that AB is AJ’s half-sister, as opposed to complete sister?
 
And I think that it could have it from the father’s side. I would not be surprised if Macintosh is truly AJ’s blood brother.
 
As for how Apple Bloom is still a sister, probably AJ’s pa hooked up with another pony after Ms. Harshwhinny, resulting in Apple Bloom, and Granny Smith is Applejack’s father’s mother.
 
A little bit of speculation on my part…
 
All of a sudden, Applejack travelling to Manehatten makes more sense when she was a filly. She was looking for her mother. Harshwhinny and AJ’s dad must have split.

The idea is an interesting one.

Heh, this reminds me of that King of the Hill episode.

Well…Still, she isn’t going to pay her last respects. She dumped all this information onto Applejack all at once. If she wanted to tell Applejack the truth, fine, good for her, but pushing the ‘I’m dying’ button and asking for a kidney?
 
She didn’t even start off with the ‘I’m your mother’ and work her way up. No, it’s ‘I’m dying, I need your kidney’.
 
Applejack’s like “okay, why me?”
 
Harsh: “Cause I’m your mother, that’s why.”
 
Harshwhinny should have put it in a better order and possibly wait a while to play the “i’m dying’ thing.

Well on previous page, she said she have kidney disease and she wants applejack’s kidney. So probably having that disease making her regret for leaving apple family.

And she waited all these years to come forth, and she only did it to save her own life….Am I supposed to feel sorry or something for Harsh here?
